Who We Are A little about us
Artist, Audrey Vance opened the doors of her Co. Wicklow studio, in March 2013 ready to create unique & personalised wedding dress illustrations for every other bride who loves her wedding dress.
“The first bespoke dress illustration was of my own Tadashi Shoji ivory cocktail wedding dress. Illustrating something so special was a true labour of love and the original ink painting still makes me smile every time I see it hanging in my studio!” shares artist Audrey Vance in a recent interview from her Bray home in Ireland.
“The year before launching was spent working on and perfecting a more polished signature style, with the added bonus of some lovely commissions being requested along the way. Now I’m in my sixth year of business and the response has been wonderful.”
“Remember your wedding day forever with one of these gorgeously personal Wedding dress Ink prints. These hand-drawn, Irish portraits of the bride’s dress can be gifted as a voucher on the wedding day or by very thoughtful new husbands on the first anniversary when ‘paper’ is the tradition.” Irish Tatler Magazine
Audrey resides in Co. Wicklow, Ireland with her husband and two young children. Looking to work from home while her children were young, the timing seemed perfect to launch in March 2013.
Since childhood Audrey dreamed of painting for a living, thanks to Wedding Dress Ink she is now living her dream!

Design Process How it’s done
Curious about the design process of these bridal fashion illustrations?
The starting point for each illustration begins with good quality photos. Audrey requests several full-length angles of the wedding dress, along with close-ups of the dress detailing, bouquet, shoes and any neck jewellery.
Each illustration begins it’s life on tracing paper, where the proportions and detailing is all worked out. This is where Audrey works out the seams, boning, fall of the fabrics, small details and shading.
Once happy with the draft, the outline gets committed to high-quality watercolour paper. All the detailing is meticulously crafted with pen and ink. If Audrey has been commissioned to create an illustration from the Ink Painting Range then out come her finest paint brushes and a pot of Indian black ink for the three layers of background.
Once mounted, each one is signed and embossed with the company seal ready for framing, gift wrapping and shipping worldwide.
