Each original dress portrait created by Wedding Dress Ink is a highly stylised fashion illustration. This style captures the attributes of traditional fashion illustration like an elongated figure and smaller waist. They are representative illustrations, interpretive of the photographs supplied and are not realistic portraits. All illustrations will follow my specific fashion illustration proportions, regardless of the the size of each individual bride, unless otherwise requested. A pattern can be understood by looking at the gallery page content and this is what can be expected with each order.
The artist is looking for 6-12 photographs if possible showing the full-length front view, full-length side or back view, and close ups of the dress details, a necklace (if worn) and the bouquet. The higher the quality of the images supplied the better the portrait created.
All contact is via the Wedding Dress Ink website, email or telephone. The artist works from photographs supplied and does not need to see the dress first hand.
Conditions of Sale
At Wedding Dress Ink all goods are customised as per the client’s specifications and as such a client cannot be refunded for a Commissioned Dress Portrait or Gift Voucher. Refunds are available if a purchase is made on the double. A refund is available within 24 hours of purchase if the illustration has not been started.
Stripe is the secure credit card payment system used for the online shop. In 2020 Stripe announced that they will be deducting a small percentage on each refund as a fee for the transaction. This is unfortunate and having shopped around other similar companies (like PalPal) are doing the same. This percentage fee is not refunded by Wedding Dress Ink.
All other sales are final. Gift Vouchers are valid for 5 months from the date of issue or from the wedding date, when bought in advance.
If you wish to pass on a gift voucher to another party there will be a small fee, this is to cover the cost of administration, a new voucher, custom box plus shipping & packaging. This must be done within 3 months of receipt and the new voucher issued will be valid for the full 12 months from the new date of issue. Cost to customers within Ireland & UK: €15.00. All other countries cost €20
Gift Vouchers are valid for 5 months from the date of issue or from the wedding date, when bought in advance.
All portraits are insured for delivery. We happily replace damaged goods. Wedding Dress Ink must be informed within 24 hours of receipt.
We endeavour to dispatch your goods within 14-28 days after receiving cleared funds. Framed illustrations are very carefully and heavily packaged in bubble wrap for protection of the fragile glass. Every effort is made to get your delivery there safely. Any damage to the frame or illustration caused during shipping must be declared to Wedding Dress Ink by email or telephone within 24 hours of receipt. Photos may be required to claim on the travel insurance.
At Wedding Dress Ink we love to run competitions, promotions and put prizes up for charity now and then. We reserve the right to use the name of the winner and any of the photographs supplied by the winner upon winning a competition to promote Wedding Dress Ink.
Use of Illustrations
Wedding Dress Ink reserves the right to use an image of each completed illustration for the promotion of Wedding Dress Ink through the official website, social media or printed material. No photographs of customers or their full names will be used without permission sought. Wedding Dress Ink will always be sensitive to wait until each illustration has been received by the desired recipient. Testimonials will always be welcomed!
